quick pics - a side view at 14 days out

I don't quite have the energy to post proper before & after pictures. Here is a quick comparison of my profile about 1 month prior to surgery and about 2 weeks after surgery.

In my after shot, you can tell my nose still turns up from the residual swelling. Also, my surgical lugs are on, as well as, lots of dental wax. I am not completely used to my new look, but I do like the placement of my chin foreward.
Upper jaw: impacted 3.5 mm
Lower jaw: moved forward 5mm

Your profile looks amazing Katherine. You're going to be so happy. It took me a while to get used to some new angles, but it's getting better everyday. You're gorgeous. And just know that its "normal" to feel emotional through this process. Just do things to feel comforted. I loved taking baths or just going for walks.

Sweetie, GREAT to chat with you briefly this AM and hear the 'old Katherine' on the phone! :-) that is wonderful sound and sign of recovery! Thanks for sharing the photos! You do, indeed, look beautiful! Of course, I always thought you were my beautiful baby girl! And you are as pretty on the inside, as the outside! Enjoy the lack of narcotic side effects! I am so pleased you are no longer needing to take them! Hugs, Mom

Great progress hun... Everything looks so different! I'm sure it will take some getting used to but give it some time you'll probably forget what you looked like before! that's what I'm hoping will happen!! :) xx

SOOOO good to hear the fog is lifting for you, Katherine. Does not sound like you've had an easy first couple of weeks. As you start feeling more like yourself, I'm hoping that everything else starts soaring for you too :)

As an aside, it has been very special to check in on you and see how supportive your family and community have been for you in this time, and to read their involvement here in your comments. VERY special. *Family , you're awesome!*

Can I ask how things have improved with the kids and their reception to the process?

You're looking wonderful~ You're an amazing lady! Take care *hug*

Thanks y'all for your encouragement. I've written that word a LOT over the last few months - now I have a new appreciation for the impact a few words and a smile can bring.
