So, I finally got braces. Yeah! I was elated for about thirty minutes. I even snapped this photo on my mobile and sent it to my family. Over the next few hours, the reality that I would be wearing this gear for up to two years began to sink in. Discomfort set in by early evening and all I can say is thank goodness for civic meetings, red wine and Tylenol. I know, I know, you're not supposed to mix these things. I'll have to add this incident of my growing list of "I will NEVER ....!" escapades.
